Family-friendly holiday rentals in Wilderness

We had a great time! Our highlights were definitely the sea view, the hot tub and the super safe neighbourhood. It worked out really well with our little kids (5 and 3 years old). We throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for having us!

Just wow! This place is just something else. Luxurious bedrooms with a balcony where you can see a beautiful view of the ocean, spacious living room, well-equipped kitchen. You can see and hear the birds around you. There was everything we needed and more. Marianna was so helpful, kind and made everything clear. It’s a short walk to the supermarket and the beach. Definitely staying here when I come back to Wilderness!

Super Lage, extrem ruhig mit grandiosem Blick aufs Meer, definitiv abseits und eigentlich nicht leicht zu finden, aber dank der tollen Anfahrtsbeschreibung hatten wir keine Probleme. Leider hatten wir nur zwei Tage für diese Station unserer Reise eingeplant, gern wären wir länger geblieben und hätten den Whirlpool auf der Terrasse noch mehr genutzt - irgendwann kommen wir bestimmt nochmal wieder!

The host is very nice and responsive. She was also patient with us as we had to change our check-in time due to unforeseen circumstances.

Wow! Where to begin to describe this wonderful place: hanging on the side of the converted pool-dam and staring over the endless green pastures, complete with herds of cows; cycling down the hill to Sedgefield’s market or lighting the fire for a braai. Or shall one start at the luxurious and ample space, filled with comfortable and elegant decor, the bathrooms with sliding windows that one can continue staring at the views? Or the riveting River Trail that takes you down to dark, cool rock pools? Perhaps one should start at the fully equipped open kitchen inspiring healthy, laid back salads in beautiful bowls…. And then there are the quiet evenings and nights of blissfull sleep. Impossible to describe everything. Suffice to say we have been engulfed with gratitude of having found this incredible place.

Amazing experience! Fantastically appointed cabin in a peaceful spot overlooking a waterhole. Delighted to watch the buffalo and eland taking a dip and drinking on our first morning. Lustine was an amazing host who patiently and enthusiastically answered my many questions! Highly recommended.

Cheryl was a lovely, responsive host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at her beautiful cottage. The space was immaculate, the beds really comfortable and the peaceful surroundings and amenities at the property were fantastic. We would definitely return should we have the opportunity to do so. This is a highly recommended spot! And Cheryl a wonderful host.

We were made to feel so special with a personalized welcome board at the entrance to the island, a water bowl waiting for our dog after a hot car drive, and a really helpful info pack that kept us busy with things to do & see. The house is gorgeous and has everything you could ever need, and Maria & Martin are so lovely. The island is such a special place and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend!!

Anton was a very responsive and accommodating host. The place is tucked away in nature which means lots of serene sounds, peace and quietness. The place is decked out with all the basic cooking stuff, guides and books to really disconnect from our city lives. Only challenge was getting our small rental car over the driveway to the cabin. Highly recommended

wonderful farm setting to get away from the clutter - wish we had more time to explore the farms and surroundings. Amenities were excellent and as described. will always recommend to those interested.

Very peaceful property and a lovely pool to spend an afternoon.

This was my second stay aboard Houseboat Myrtle, the last stay was eleven years ago. I stayed for 3 nights this time, and it was as wonderful as before. Staying here is really special, we saw a seal, lots of diving birds, ducks and fish. Swimming off the deck was really fun with a ladder to get in and out. The boat stays cool with plenty of windows for ventilation. Nearby were kayak rentals, waterfront shops and restaurants and lots to do. I personally loved Freshline Fisheries restaurant for beautiful fresh fish and seafood. A 20 min drive to Birds of Eden and the Plettenberg Bay Elephant Sanctuary for ‘trunk in hand’ walks. Evenings on deck with, sunset, dinner, wine, candles and board games was so peaceful. I’ll definitely be back 😃

This was a great stay! Accross the road from the lagoon and awesome view provides a great environment to relax! Staff are very helpful and always available!

Perfect way to explore and experience the beauty if Knysna and having a place to relax and enjoy.

Cheryl & Peter's apartment is even more beautiful than the photos!! It is such an amazing space with a breathtaking view Attention is given to the smallest detail! We felt at home from the moment we arrived. Luxury interior, bedrooms, linen and bathrooms and the ammenities are very thoughtful. Cheryl sent us restaurant recommendations and daily specials as well as local events. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved every minute and didn't want to leave. We will be back!

This is a beautiful home. Our stay was clam and relaxing. It was fantastic to have access to squash and tennis courts.

We had a fantastic stay at Andre's place in Knysna. Thesen Island is such a great, central place to stay in Knysna. The house was perfect for our family, and catered for our every need. We will definitely be returning.

We had a fantastic few days in Knysna. This house is incredible and the outside area is just amazing. From the views to the swimming pool it is paradise. Close by to everything you need and having Catherine on site is very handy. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely 3 nights at Allan Grove. We got in later than expected, and in the pouring rain, and Brian gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. The garden is so beautiful and the photos dont do the place justice. The decor is lovely and the couch so comfortable to snuggle down into. It was the comfort and privacy that me and my family needed after weeks of camping at busy campsites. He recommended a great grocery store and we were able to cook up a feast. Thanks Brian, we’ll be back!
