Whether you are looking for a long day hike or a short 5-minute walk to amazing sunsets spots - Mont Rochelle is the place to go. It is situated on top of the Franschhoek Pass, so you are right in the mountains. You can also get a fantastic aerial view of our picturesque town from some spots. Permits are available at the gate but, if you come after 5 pm, it is free.

Stunning views and lots of indigenous fynbos/flora. Need to buy a permit at the info office or in cash at the guard gate.

Hiking; mountain trails; nature walks ... want to exert some energy or wear out the kids, this is the perfect spot. Just watch out for baboons and mountain cats! DOGS NOT ALLOWED
