Explore the West Wilds, lots and of steps! Look out for the sculptures in the trees and gardens. Beautiful cycads, leopard tree’s and much more. No tea garden so take your own water. Picnic’s are allowed
The wilds is a very old nature reserve very close by, it is well kept with great indigenous trees and wonderful views of Parktown and some historical areas of the city. Prefer time to visit is morning.
A revived historic city park with an arty edge. Definitely worth an afternoon out.
Wonderful public park close by, cared for by the community, and offering great walks and views of Joburg, and insta-worthy sculptures by local artist James Delany. Free entrance. Coffee cart and/or sorbet sellers often operational over weekend mornings. Better to stick to the west Wilds (which is fully fenced, and with security) especailly if you're on your own or in a small group.
