Considered the first and oldest pub in New York City, Fraunces Tavern was opened in 1762 as Queen’s Head Tavern. This pub is so historic that George Washington is said to have said goodbye here to his officers of the Continental Army back in 1783. Grab a pint in the bar Washington once stood and then take a stroll down Manhattan’s oldest street.
