Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Skorradalshreppur

Ein großzügiges Haus mit einer tollen Wohlfühl-Atmosphäre. Leider hat der Whirlpool nicht funktioniert und die Küche war nicht so sauber.

Saubere, tolle Unterkunft. Alles wie beschrieben. Der Gastgeber war sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit. Eine Verlängerung des Check-Outs war problemlos möglich. Würden wir wieder buchen!

This house is absolutely magical! Far enough away that you don’t have to see another soul if you don’t want to, but close enough to the city to make it easily drivable for day trips or tours in Reykjavik. Perfect temperature inside during cold months, simple yet luxurious in the amenities provided, and incredible location to see the aurora! The hosts were extremely communicative and kind and helped us through the entire trip. This is THE house to stay at in this area and WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Truly magical place. Absolutely beats staying in town and all of the best hotels in Iceland. Beautiful surroundings to watch the northern lights, enjoy a perfectly designed outdoor fire pit, relax in a heated outdoor pool, and watch the sunrise. The hot springs, restaurant, and beaches are walkable from the house. The restaurant will deliver a small breakfast for your group to the house. 45 min drive to Reykjavík.

Our stay was in Asbjorn’s house amazing! After driving around Iceland we wanted to relax for couple days before the long flight, The town location was very convenient for us, so we decided to stay in Akranes instead of Reykjavik. Asbjorn’s home was just what we needed. Beautiful neighborhood, walkable distance to local attractions and grocery stores. The house itself is full of light and nicely designed, shiny clean, well equipped, with comfortable beds. Beautiful kitchen motivates you to cook something delicious, there is also outside grill that we happily used to cook fresh burgers that we bought in the local farm. Definitely would stay there again in the future!

Great stay to relax after a day full of activities in a remote place with beautiful surroundings. Porbjorg provides detailed instructions in advance on how to find the house, it was quite easy for us. A very spacious house with all the amenities you need for cooking as well. We loved the playful dogs :)

Een warm en welkom verblijf in een prachtige omgeving. Overal is over nagedacht. Het uitzicht is waanzinnig, daar kan je naar blijven kijken. Je wordt er uitgerust wakker en kan met een kopje koffie en van het prachtige uitzicht genieten! Je waant je in rust en luxe, ongeveer 45 minuten van Reykjavik af.

This was the best place we have ever stayed as a family. Sigurdurs place is beautiful with the most stunning view. The house is spacious and very warm and cosy. It is absolute heaven, the perfect escape to the countryside with a chance of seeing the northern lights over the lake. I would definitely recommend Sigurdur’s place to everyone. Thank you so much for letting us spend time in your home.

Sara and Rabbi are excellent, proactive hosts- who, with any issue or question, went out of their way to assist and solve problems. This home is extraordinary, nestled in uncompromisingly beautiful, natural surroundings and is truly such a special place. It can accommodate a large group, but we were 4 singles and found it was rather perfect considering the number of bathrooms and showers. The beds were super comfortable for European standards (a joy!), the kitchen was well-stocked and we felt so at home. The hot tub is natural, so be mindful there may be some algae floaties. And watching the Aurora from the many viewpoints throughout the property was an unforgettable experience. I hope to bring my kids and husband here soon, but until next time I’ll be seeing this place in my dreams often, I’m sure!

Very responsive host who was able to help with any questions and concerns we had. Our family felt right at home. We loved the hot tub and yard out back. The view of the mountains and fjord was breathtaking. The house was very comfortable and clean. We rented a car which I would recommend to anyone. It was about 45 minutes to Reykjavík and about 1 hour and 15 minutes to Keflavík Airport. We were able to drive to all of our locations on the southern part of the island and make several day trips. We hope to come back again in the future.

Berglind responded very quickly and provided all the information we needed! The house was very clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Soaking in the hot tub at night was truly relaxing! The host warmly took us to see the horses, which were very friendly. Thank you to the host for giving us a wonderful night in Iceland!

10/10 recommend. Perfect trip from start to finish. Eugenia is a lovely host. Personable and kind to communicate with via the Airbnb platform. This house is simply incredible. If you’re thinking of visiting Iceland don’t hesitate, you’ll be blown away by the nature, peace and beauty. The house is 45 mins - 1 hour from the airport and Reykjavik. It’s in the middle of the “Golden Circle” where you’ll be able to see many waterfalls, the Geyser etc. It’s a private community of secluded houses in the valley of some mountains. 4x4 recommended as it’s a dirt road for 5-10 mins from the main road. Everything works perfectly in the house. Fireplace, BBQ, well stocked kitchen, all taps had boiling hot and freezing cold water (so refreshing!). Very clean house and felt like home for the week. Jacuzzi, sauna and cold plunge were nice perks. You can hike the mountain behind the house and find blueberries. 100% perfect stay for a family or a group of friends. Thank you, Eugenia!

Utrolig fantastisk hytte med skønne omgivelser! Man følte sig hjemme fra man trådte ind af døren. Klart et sted man skal bo på sin tur til Island!

Wir hatten eine so schöne Zeit in Haukurs Unterkunft. Die Hütte ist mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht, sehr gemütlich und traumhaft ruhig gelegen mitten in der Natur. Der Blick auf den See, der Kamin und der Hot Tub waren unser Highlight. Perfekt um so richtig zu entspannen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Such a fabulous cabin in a stunning location. We enjoyed our stay immensely and wouldn’t hesitate to return. The hot tub was a bonus. We used it several times during our four nights stay. The cabin was spotlessly clean had every amenity to make us more than comfortable throughout our stay, the hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. Such a wonderful place, we really didn’t want to leave. Make sure you stock up on groceries when you pass a supermarket (as the nearest one open during our stay was a 25 minute drive) and you won’t want for a thing. We forgot to purchase some sugar for our hot drinks, so Matthias, one of the hosts, called round within a couple of hours with a bag of sugar cubes for us. Amazing service! The horses in the adjoining field were a delight to watch and kept my daughter entertained for hours. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We had such an amazing time during our stay and Zoei was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. This was one of the nicest Airbnbs I've ever been lucky enough to stay in. It looked beautiful in the pictures and was even more beautiful in person. The thermal pool was so relaxing and Godo was such a highlight. We hope to come back!

What a beautiful little place! We absolutely loved it here. A very very peaceful location with a wonderful view. The accommodation itself was so cosy and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed (apart from a kettle that we couldn’t seem to find). The hot tub was super special and would have been PERFECT for aurora viewing had the cloud coverage not been 100%! Regardless we loved relaxing in it, a very special place. The only negative was the bedsheet was old and bobbly and for the price paid I would have expected a new, un-bobbly sheet! Apart from that, absolutely fantastic!

I would 100% stay here again. The unit is fully stocked with everything you would need. Including salt, pepper, oil, tin foil. We stopped for groceries on the way from the airport. So glad we did! I recommend bringing coffee beans for the fancy machine. The fridge is large. The tv has Netflix and Disney. The hot tub stays the same temp as it just keeps refreshing itself. Iceland is magical. And this find was perfection for a party of 3 adults. Also the beds were incredibly comfortable. I slept like a dream. The home is plenty warm as well. The host is extremely responsive although we had zero issues as the instructions are clear before you arrive. We communicated to say thank you for a lovely stay. Would stay here again.

This was our family's 4th trip to Iceland and this is by far our favorite place we've stayed at. Words cannot describe how beautiful the setting is. The views of the lake & mountains are absolutely amazing! The cabin is charming and has two large bay windows which provide spectacular views. We felt right at home here. When I had a question, Gudrun was quick to respond. We loved the location. It's private & tucked away in a beautiful area but only 25 minute drive from my friend's house in Mosfellbaer, a lovely town of approximately 15,000 people and has a grocery store and restaurants. The cabin is only a 45 minute drive from Reykjavik. The icing on the cake is that we got to see the northern lights from the cabin! I definitely plan on staying here again in the future.
