Holiday houses in Matauri Bay

Katrina’s place was situated in a very private setting. Beautifully landscaped. Check in was a breeze. Perfect set up for a family of four (or 5) given the bedrooms were on two different levels and each bedroom was equipped with a full bathroom. The place has a stunning view of the water from the living room, patio, and both bedrooms. The car ferry to Russell is only a 5 minute drive. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Well equipped kitchen, big spacious house, great for our group of 5. At least a 10min flat walk to the beach, however a beach cart was needed if taking a beach cabana and chilli bins etc. We opted for a short drive to the beach when we were going for a few hours. Nice walk up the hill through bush to get to Whale Bay which was beautiful.

This is a great place to stay for a group / or family as a base to explore Mangawhai and surrounds. Is clean, tidy, good parking and has everything you need. Comfortable beds and has been renovated in a lovely beachy simple vibe allowing you to relax and enjoy the private location. Had everything we needed and would stay again.

Lovely location and a great beach to enjoy. Sharon was very friendly and communicated at all times. The place was nice, clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The bach shares a section with the main house and we didn’t need any assistance during our visit as everything was great. A really nice couple of days with a nice drive up to see the sights. Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing stay with Malcolm and Penelope, breath-taking views with a short trip into town for lovely food and drink. What more can you ask for!

Kathryn’s place was amazing! We loved our stay. I couldn’t believe how well stocked it was. Everything we needed was there. It was extremely comfortable. The hospitality was so welcoming and we felt right at home. The view and the serenity take the cake though. Not often you get ocean, mountains, pastures, cows etc all at one place. Definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at 1st Mates Quarters! Unfortunately there was a terrible storm at the time and Adelle was extremely helpful/responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The space was an amazing set up with beautiful views! Can’t wait to go back and experience it during better weather.

The most beautiful location and only a short drive from town centre. Having 2 families and 5 children in total the rumpus room being seperate from the house was ideal and the kids were kept entertained being right on the waterfront. The house was exactly what we needed.
