We really enjoyed staying at the golden hour! The hosts were very responsive and helpful! They had sound machines in every bedroom which if you have kids is a big deal. The toys and kids activities there were a big hit! The pools are pristine and the whole outdoor area is very nice! Very short walk to beach which was also convenient! They literally thought of everything, if you forgot something chances are they had it! Definitely recommend staying here if you have children and want a nice low key place to stay!

Eugene’s home is beautiful and nicer than the pictures portray. The setting is beautiful even in March. The house was spotless and very comfortable. The location was a short car ride from Yorktown and Williamsburg. Great stay would definitely recommend this home.

What a fantastic place! LARGE and clean house, best bang for your buck, and 5 min walk to the beach. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay around the area. my wife and my dog also loved the home. 11/10, would absolutely come back for another stay.

What a beautiful and serene space for a women’s retreat! It is very obvious that the home is very well loved as well as very special. We all discussed coming back again because we enjoyed the space, the comfort and the scenery very much. We thoroughly enjoyed the great blue heron right outside the window each day as well as breathtaking sunsets. It was hard to get back to the grind after such a beautiful sanctuary weekend away.

We enjoyed our stay at The Great Escape! Most of our time was spent in the private pool and fishing from the yard into the canal. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. We loved how quiet and safe the neighborhood was. The house had all the amenities we needed- it felt like a home away from home. Kim was a great host supplying us with lots of recommendations and was quick to resolve any problems. We hope to visit again in the future!

If you're a beach goer, this is definitely the place for you to stay. The house is only a 6 minute walk from the beach. The house is very spacious. We had 13 family members staying at the house and there was plenty room for all of us without feeling overcrowded. We had a couple issues with linen, but the host was very responsive and handled the issue quickly. Being able to fish off of the fishing pier/deck in the back was a bonus. The host was gracious enough to allow us to do an early check in because family was coming in from out of town, and also offered a late check out if we needed it.

I could not recommend this place and these hosts enough! The place was warm and welcoming and I absolutely love the location. A very peaceful neighborhood with easy bay access. The hosts were amazing and responsive. The house had some maintenance problems but at no fault of theirs…just typical house problems and they handled everything extremely well and we were not inconvenienced at all! Also our dog loved the place and they were stocked will all the dog necessities which was very helpful!

Very quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach. Plenty of space for a family with a private backyard and sunroom. Holly was great with communication and had plenty of recommendations for the area. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return if we are in the area!

This house was perfect for our group. We had 16 baseball players and coaches stay in the house. Everyone had a bed, plenty of room and the pool table and ping pong table were a big hit. It allowed for team bonding when not on the field. The house was clean and had all that we needed to host a team dinner for all the families down for the weekend! Highly recommend.

Highly Recommend! My first time in Norfolk and I almost don’t want others to know about this place because it will be booked whenever I want to return. Peacefully neighbor and safe for women solo-traveler. The backyard is a dream and everything works great inside the home.

Our stay was very nice. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and the house smelled amazing when we walked through the door. The keyless lock was very convenient, considering we arrived in the middle of the night. It had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you!

This home is a quick drive to all the local attractions and a perfect space for a quick weekend away. There was everything was needed to make a meal at home and then spend the day sightseeing. All instructions were clear; amenities were above reproach. The best part is it is at the end of a quiet street, so it was incredibly peaceful.

Sharmane house worked well for us! 5 adults and 5 kids was a bit of a tight fit, but with two adults taking a couch each, we made it work! The house is clean, everything works, and the price is right. Thanks Sharmane!

This cottage is hands down the best AirBnB in the entire Norfolk/Portsmouth area. Great location, great cottage and an awesome host! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

What an amazing find in Newport News! This home is updated, welcoming, well kept, and spacious. We loved everything about it, but here are some standouts: So close to CNU! A short walk and you are on campus, so the need to find visitor parking at CNU is eliminated. The entire house was very clean and free of pests/bugs. Comfortable beds and soft sheets. Bathrooms had lots of towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and shower essentials. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and plenty of plates, bowls, cups and utensils for everyone. And finally, communication with Xiang was top notch. She was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to our questions. You can tell she cares and wants your stay to be the best, which it absolutely was for our family! I highly recommend this home and we will be back for sure! Thank you Xiang for a great home away from home!

Beautiful house with lots of space right in the heart of Virginia Beach! Very easy to find and access. We loved walking down to the beach and out to get ice cream. The kitchen and family room make a great gathering place.

The home is gorgeous, and the neighborhood is serene and charming. Betsy made sure we settled in smoothly and had no trouble accessing the property. I highly recommend this place for a family beach vacation.
