Relax with the whole family or friends in this peaceful country setting in the Adelaide hills, close to the Stirling village, directly adjacent the Heysen walking trail, Stirling Golf Club and within walking distance of the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens.

The space
This delightful early 1900’s cottage has country charm with modern conveniences. Surrounded by century old gum trees and large open spaces, with scenic views of a beautiful private lake. Three cosy bedrooms with premium linen comfortably sleep 6 people. Wood combustion heater and reverse cycle heating/cooling provide all-year round comfort. Charming country kitchen, with seperate dining and living areas. Lovely, light-filled spaces, including a sunroom thanks to northern aspect and large windows.

The Lake House comes stocked with:
* premium linen and towels plus extra blankets to keep you warm (if the electric blankets are not sufficient)
* T2 tea
* Nespresso coffee machine and pods
* Breakfast provisions for one breakfast including Adelaide Hills bacon, free range eggs, spreads, Carmen’s muesli, fresh fruit and fresh local artisan sourdough bread;
* Evo hair and beauty products (an extra treat)
* firewood to enjoy the slow combustion heater or the outside fire pit
* washing powder

Make sure to pack:
* your golf clubs if you like to play golf as the Mount Lofty Golf Course is directly adjacent The Lake House. Your host can assist with golf bookings if required.
* your walking shoes to walk the many walking and hiking trails in the area, including the Heysen Trail, which is accessible by foot from The Lake House.
* your bike if you are a cyclist and want to test yourself in the Adelaide Hills (the renowned Tour Down Under is an annual event through the Adelaide Hills) or just want to enjoy the area by bike
* for the cooler months, your winter woolies to sit outside by the fire pit enjoying a glass of local wine
* your sense of adventure to explore all the many attractions that the Adelaide Hills has to offer, including wineries, botanical gardens, markets, artisan foods and historical townships such as Hahndorf.

Guest access
The entire house with bedroom access subject to the number of bedrooms booked. If booking for 3-4 people the default booking will be for 2 bedrooms (King, Queen or twin of your choosing). If you would like to book all 3 bedrooms for 3-4 people an additional charge of the per additional guest fee per night will apply capped at 2 nights fee. The fee will be the fee current at time of booking or at the time of stay if not booked ahead. Your host will contact you to enquire as to the number of bedrooms required on booking and for payment of any additional fee.

We have a strict no event policy unless pre-approved. Where the property is to be used to prepare for an event (wedding or other event) an additional fee may apply depending on usage. Please contact your host before booking to understand the additional fee policy.

Photography is not permitted other than by prior arrangement.

Your host reserves the right to charge additional fees for non-authorised use of the property.

The lake is on neighbouring private property and is not accessible.
The yard is not fully secure and children may need to be supervised.
The property is located on a public road and there is some traffic noise as a result.
