Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Come and bask in the Brunswick Heads lifestyle! Kick off your shoes, grab your beach towel and wander down to the beach paradise on our doorstep. When you've soaked up enough sun and sea and enjoyed the foodie delights, settle down and watch a movie in The Art House private movie theatre or head out to enjoy some live music at the Brunswick Hotel or in nearby Byron Bay. Brunswick Heads is one of the most beloved beach towns on Australia's east coast - scenic, laid back, and quirky.

The space
The Art House is set up for guests to be completely independent. We love the fact that we showcase the work of local artists, and we're a five-minute walk away from the Brunswick Picture House - one of Australia's best-kept secrets (and one of the reasons we settled in this little town, after stints in London, New York, Melbourne and Sydney). The Art House has its own private pathway and entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, Sonos music system, wifi and...believe it or not, its own awesome movie theatre! We've set it up with perfect beach getaways in mind, but with all the comforts of home, including a very comfy bed and airy, open plan living space, private outdoor patio, and everything you need to make you feel that the place is yours. We also have two state-of-the-art gyms within five minutes' walk and several spectacular national parks on our doorstep.

Guest access
The Art House is separate from the main house and has its own private entrance, deck and patio area.

Other things to note
We have neighbours close by (all busy professional artists and designers), so the Art House isn't a party house. It's a place for quiet relaxation. We've also got a one-year old dog called Raffy who loves to greet and visit guests. He's a sweet boy who enjoys cuddles and treats.

We also regret that we are unable to accept bookings with children under 14

Neighbourhood highlights

Our neighbourhood is the quirky, artsy beach town of Brunswick Heads. The Owl House is located on a quiet street that's a few minutes walk from Brunswick Heads surf beach, Torakina swimming beach, and the beautiful Brunswick River. It's also just around the corner from the independent shops, cafes and restaurants of our vibrant town. It's a beach holiday paradise.

While you're here, you can enjoy the private movie theatre (with 100” screen) in the beach house itself, with access to Netflix and streaming movies. You can also make the most of the markets, the live music venues (including the iconic Brunswick Hotel and the Brunswick Picture House), as well as boat trips up the river, whale watching, hot-air ballooning, horse-riding on the beach, and you might be lucky enough to swim with the dolphins on Torakina beach (swim just after sunrise and just before sunset to maximize your chances!).

You can also head into Byron Bay for the chic and trendy nightlife, or to the nearby local historic Byron Shire towns of Bangalow and Mullumbimby for more dining, shopping and entertainment. If you're feeling energetic, there are some fabulous hikes in the hinterland, among the ancient rainforests, waterfalls, swimming holes and national parks.
