Step into a slower pace of life at Pat’s Place, a private, romantic cabin designed exclusively for two. Originally part of Polland’s farmhouse (pre-1920s), this beautifully renovated retreat blends character with refined comfort. Nestled on Oaksham Farm, Pat’s Place is a place to unplug, reconnect, and breathe. Spend your days reading, wandering the tree-lined country roads or exploring the region before returning to a thoughtfully styled space that feels both grounding and indulgent.

The space
Pat’s Place is situated in the heart of Victoria’s spectacular Grampians region, a scenic 2 hour 40 minute drive from Melbourne.

Whether you crave adventure or quiet reflection, this cabin promises something truly special.

Halls Gap is just 20 minutes away, unlocking access to breathtaking bushwalks and the unparalleled beauty of the Grampian mountains. Nearby wineries are in abundance but what is truly unique about Pat's Place, is the tree-lined country roads, magnificent views and vast open skies.

A Ready Kitchen

We have a basic pantry with coffee pods, a selection of teas, milk, biscuits, olive oil, salt & pepper and herbs. On quiet weekdays, bring along your favourite ingredients for an easy home-cooked meal or fire up the BBQ and enjoy a relaxed evening under the stars.

If you’re in the mood for a meal out, we’ve listed some of our favorite local spots in the Home Manual. Pomonal is just 14 minutes away and Ararat & Halls Gap offer many great options to explore the regional food scene.

Our Fireplace

Our living room is complete with a wood-heater, installed into the original farm fireplace - a source of both warmth and ambiance. With plenty of firewood supplied, you will love this cosy spot.

A Bedroom Designed with Character

Dressed in pure linen sheets, our queen-sized bed promises restful nights and leisurely sleep-ins.

The Grounds

Step outside to unwind and connect with nature. Sample sweet, sun-ripened figs picked straight from Moyston's famous fig tree—but be quick, the locals love to help themselves too!

If you're up for a laugh, challenge yourself to a refreshing plunge in our ice bath, just remember to light the firepit afterward for a well-earned thaw!

As the day winds down, don't miss the spectacular sunsets —watching the last light melt across the mountains is the perfect way to close another memorable day in the countryside.

Pat’s Place is all yours. Parking is available at the front of the property, enter through the hand gate and walk along the garden path to the cabin.

While we love sharing our farm life with those interested, we also recognise the hazards involved in a working farm environment. For everyone’s peace of mind, we kindly ask that guests enjoy the grounds of Pat’s Place, while being mindful of the separate farmyard.
