The Solstice gardens are a wonderland of meandering pathways, secluded spaces and plenty of trees to picnic under. Surrounded by world heritage nature walks and only 5 minutes stroll to eclectic cafes, restaurants, wine and record bars, art galleries and antique stores in Blackheath village.

Welcome to Solstice Blackheath! An enchanting mountain retreat nestled in the heart of the Blue Mountains.

Located only 5 minutes walk from Blackheath village centre, this charming and completely renovated heritage property offers a perfect blend of old-world elegance with modern amenities, and has been furnished with comfort and cosiness in mind.

Solstice is a sanctuary designed to soothe the soul. After busy days sightseeing, shopping or exploring the many Blue Mountains bushwalking tracks and trails, you can curl up by the fireplace with a good book, soak in the outdoor hot tub under the stars, or savour a glass of wine on the private patio surrounded by gorgeous landscaped gardens.

With two separate living areas, both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, a fully equipped designer kitchen, two full bathrooms (plus a third powder room) and four comfortable bedrooms, Solstice Blackheath is perfect for an intimate couples retreat, special family gathering or relaxing holiday with friends.

The master suite includes a king size bed, huge feature window, parents retreat with sofa and TV, walk-in wardrobe, stylish en-suite bathroom, and French doors to its own private deck and garden access.

STUDY/HOME OFFICE:
If inspiration strikes, or a last minute email comes through, there is also a dedicated home office set up with plenty of desk space and chairs – perfect for digital nomads, remote workers or creatives seeking a calm space for a working holiday or workcation for that next novel or masterpiece!

BATHROOMS:
The house has two newly renovated modern bathrooms, plus a third powder room with toilet and basin. The dreamy main bathroom has a double vanity, large shower and separate bathing sanctuary with a huge soaking tub. There is also a large en-suite bathroom adjoining the master bedroom with shower, toilet and basin.

LIVING & DINING ROOM:
Located at the heart of the home, the sun-filled open plan living and dining room features an ambient combustion wood fireplace and tall ceilings with skylights throughout. The large dining table has room for the whole family or group to gather for a meal. Relax on the sofa with a good book, or enjoy a movie night or board games beside the crackling fireplace.

There is also a separate TV room, perfect for the kids or teenagers to have their own space or watch a movie while the big kids catch up!

Step through the French doors into the fully enclosed veranda which has a second dining table, gas BBQ, and stunning views of the gardens for alfresco dining in all seasons!

KITCHEN:
The luxurious kitchen is a cook's dream! With stunning stone bench tops, a Falcon induction stove, and large breakfast bar. Fully equipped with everything you might need to whip up a family feast.

HEATING & COOLING:
The wood-burning combustion fireplace in the lounge room is perfect company on a chilly winter evening. There is also a ducted central heating and cooling system throughout the entire house to keep you cosy and comfortable in all seasons.

OUTDOORS:
The expansive, fully-fenced gardens at Solstice are a private and tranquil paradise that changes with the seasons. Help yourself to freshly picked herbs, and enjoy the changing colours of the maples in autumn, and fruit tree blossoms in spring.

The rear deck includes a large spa and overlooks the paved outdoor entertaining space, featuring ambient festoon lights and a large stone fireplace. Paved pathways lead you through the dry stonewall gardens onto a lush and shady lawn area with plenty of room for the kids (big, small or the furry kind) to run wild safely. There is even a built-in trampoline!

- 5 minutes walk (400m) to Blackheath train station.
- 9 minutes walk (650m) to Katoomba Street restaurants, bars, cafes, galleries, shops and supermarkets.
- 5 minutes walk (400m) to Blackheath Pool.
- 12 minutes drive (11.4 km) to Three Sisters lookout at Echo Point.
- 15 minutes drive to Leura village centre.

Other things to note
One box of complimentary firewood, fire-starters and matches are provided during the winter months only. Additional bags of firewood and kindling are available from the Blackheath IGA, Mitre 10 or any of the service stations along the highway. Otherwise there is ducted central heating throughout the cottage to keep you toasty warm!

Neighbourhood highlights

Blackheath is a quiet and friendly village known for its unique art galleries, eclectic antique shops, cafes, boutiques and plenty of great places to enjoy a lazy brunch or coffee. There are several beautiful parks and playgrounds, scenic walks and lookouts, the Blackheath Golf and Community Club and popular wedding venues.

If you want to visit the Three Sisters or Scenic World, Katoomba is less than 10 minutes drive from Blackheath. The beautiful Wentworth Falls and popular shopping village of Leura are also only 15-20 minutes drive.

The charming village of Mount Victoria is about 10 minutes along the highway in the opposite direction and has an atmospheric cinema set in a historic hall. Great for a rainy day activity or date night!

Blackheath is also only a 30 minute drive to Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens and Mount Wilson's beautiful historic village, or a 1.5 hour drive to the Jenolan Caves.

If you plan to self-cater during your stay, there are two local supermarkets in Blackheath as well as a green grocer, free-range butcher, bakery, liquor store and deli.

If you are travelling by train it is best to bring your groceries with you, eat at the local hotels and cafes or order takeaway from the restaurants in Blackheath.
