The space
We are offering a six bedroom chalet style house with high cedar ceilings. The picture windows throughout the house provide an abundance of light and the amazing vista of the Warburton Ranges and the Yarra Valley. Two large living rooms, a bar, three decks, a sauna, indoor heated pool (upto 24 deg Celcius) and spa (heated by upto 38 deg Celcius) make it the perfect space to get away. A coonara style wooden fireplace adds a beautiful aesthetic in winter. We provide a limited quantity of wood and kindling as the house is equipped with central gas heating to keep you toasty warm.
While the property boasts stunning views, it is also nestled within a national forest. As a result, encountering bugs or spiders on the property is possible. If the idea of being in nature with both its advantages and drawbacks is not to your liking, this property may not be the right fit for you.
There is a large fully renovated kitchen with double oven and breakfast counter. It is equipped for self catering with Nespresso coffee machine (10 coffee pods provided as we have also provided additional instant coffee), toaster, microwave, gas stove, dishwasher and other appliances. Dining room, laundry and three bathrooms are available. The downstairs living room has a 50 inch television. The dining table sits 8, for larger groups finger food in the top deck is a great option for entertaining.
Bedrooms are opened up based on the number of guests booked (otherwise they remain locked). If you need more rooms e.g. for singles please book for more guests .
2 guests booked: 1 large master bedroom only unlocked with ensuite and king size bed. Sunrise views and access to the top deck.
4 guests booked: 2nd bedroom (2 total bedrooms unlocked), additional bedroom with sunrise views and access to the top deck. Queen bed.
6 guests booked: 3rd bedroom (3 total bedrooms unlocked), additional bedroom with garden views. Queen bed.
8 guests booked: 4th bedroom (4 total bedrooms unlocked), large additional bedroom on the lower floor with garden views. Queen bed.
10 guests booked: 5th bedroom (5 total bedrooms unlocked), large additional bedroom on the lower floor with garden views. Access via the 5th bedroom. Queen bed.
12 guests booked (6 total bedrooms unlocked): 6th bedroom on the top floor, smaller additional bedroom with garden views. Double bed.
Our stunning mountain retreat is ideal for people coming to the Dandenong Ranges for relaxing in nature or to attend weddings or other functions. Conveniently located within walking distance to the Olinda Falls, Kalorama lookout and 5 minute drive to Olinda village and Skyhigh and 10 minute drive to Sassafras villages. Note the space is very tranquil and Airbnb rules prohibit parties and guests not on the booking from entering the house. We allow photographers and makeup for wedding stays for a short time.
Guest access
You will have full and exclusive access to the whole house. This includes:
- 6 bedrooms if you book for the full 12 guests.
- 2 large living spaces.
- 3 outdoor decks, 1 on the second level with magnificent mountain/ valley views, outdoor furniture. 2 on the lower level with mountain/ garden views and to relax by the pool.
- Pool, spa and sauna.
- Fully equipped kitchen and laundry.
- 3 bathrooms and toilets. 1 is an ensuite attached to the master bedroom, 1 on the second level and 1 on the lower level near the sauna and pool.
- Indoor bar. BYO alcohol.
- Beautiful back and front gardens with lawns and over 10 different fruit trees and walking path
Other things to note
This property has a spa and pool which are located in a separate enclosed room. We don't have high chairs, gates for the staircase, protection against sticking metal objects in electrical sockets etc. It is a large property with a second story balcony.

Please take note of the following important information regarding the heating options for the pool and spa:
Pool heating: To achieve a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, the pool requires approximately 12 hours of heating, typically done overnight. Detailed instructions for pool heating will be provided to assist you.
Spa heating: The spa can reach a relaxing temperature of 38 degrees Celsius in approximately 3 hours. Instructions for spa heating will also be provided to guide you through the process.
Important Note: It's crucial to remember that pool and spa heating cannot be activated simultaneously to achieve the desired temperature. When set to spa heating mode, the heating system will exclusively focus on warming the spa, while setting it to pool heating mode will prioritize heating the pool only.
