Is there WiFi and phone reception at Gabarraa?
You’ll have phone reception, though coverage varies by provider. There’s no WiFi here, and so it’s a beautiful opportunity for a digital detox.
How does solar power affect electricity use?
Our solar setup provides ample power for your stay. There are power outlets for charging your devices.
How secluded is the property?
At Gabarraa, you’ll have total privacy – no neighbours in sight, only 360-degree views of rolling hills and open skies. Occasionally, curious cattle may wander by, but that’s about as social as it gets.
Do I need a 4WD to access this property?
No, you can access Gabarraa with any 2WD car. The car park is just 5 metres from the front door so you can park easily and transfer your luggage.
Is Gabarraa suitable for families or children?
Gabarraa is an adults-only retreat designed for rest, relaxation, and connection with nature. The cabin sleeps a maximum of two adults, making it an ideal getaway for couples or solo travellers seeking tranquility.
Does it get hot in summer and cold in winter?
The region experiences distinct seasons, so the climate will be hot in summer and cold in the winter (our high country winters are especially popular for visitors!).
The cabin is designed to keep the temperature stable at any time of year. Features like double-glazed windows, louvres for cross-ventilation and double insulation will keep you cool in summer and cosy in winter.
Is there a fireplace?
Yes! We’ve included a beautiful wood-burning fireplace from Nectre to keep the cabin warm and provide a beautiful ambience for you. Kindling and firewood are provided.
Oh la la, there’s a hot tub?
Yes! We have a unique, wood-fired hot tub for you to enjoy. During the winter months, we’ll have it warming in time for your arrival so you can slip straight into relaxation.

While we know pets are part of the family, Gabarraa is a pet-free property.
Surrounded by National Parks, native wildlife, and farmland with roaming cattle, the environment isn’t suited for four-legged visitors.

Can I have extra visitors?
Gabarraa is designed for two guests only. Please share the experience with friends and family by letting them know how they can book their own stay at Gabarraa.
What should I pack?
Bring everything you’d take for a peaceful nature escape: sunscreen, insect repellent, weather-appropriate clothes, walking shoes, a torch, and, of course, your favourite foods and drinks to enjoy. You’ll find a bar fridge and basic condiments in the cabin. .
