The space
Welcome to Bird’s Nest Studio. Nestled directly on the Tweed River waterfront, with sweeping views of Wollumbin (Mount Warning), this exquisitely designed serene two bedroom cabin offers space for both creative flow and deep rest.
Whether you’re here to paint, write, read, or simply observe the birds and river dolphins glide by, Bird’s Nest is a space to tickle the silence.

The Experience
From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel gently held by the exquisite gardens, water views, and stillness. The sunsets over the river and mountains are unforgettable, and you can hand-feed the wild ducks and swans right from your deck.
Spend your days:
• Journaling or creating on the large covered outdoor deck
• Cycling to local beaches, cafes, and Fingal Head Lighthouse
• Stargazing by the fire pit (subject to annual RFS restrictions)
• Watching dolphins and abundant birdlife
• Resting in total quiet

• Absolute waterfront 2 bedroom studio (2 guests max)
• Private undercover deck (and art studio area) with BBQ, fire pit + sunset views
• Fully equipped kitchen, lounge area, and private bathroom*
• Dedicated car space + access to on-site laundry
• Indoor studio space for writing or painting
• Ice plunge pool with water/sunset views (please advise in advance if required)
• Access to a shared swimming pool
• A breakfast selection including fairtrade coffee, teas, gluten free toasted muesli, milk, butter and jams are provided. Fresh croissants/pastries can be purchased from Cubby Bakehouse, just a few minutes away
• Simple pantry basics for home cooking
• Drop cloths, artist caddy, cleaning rags and jars to support your creative journey
• If you’re lucky enough to visit on the same fortnightly Friday as my lovely masseuse, Anita, (who comes to massage me in a nearby cabin) massage in the comfort of your own cabin can be arranged. Please enquire on booking.

You're 10 minutes from Gold Coast Airport, and a 5 minute drive, bike or bus ride from the beaches, cafes and galleries scattered between Kingscliff, Fingal Head and Tweed Heads. All the usual services/amenities associated with a major town are easily accessible, including public transport to the whole of the Gold Coast from right outside the front door…. not that you’ll
want to go too far…’that view’ from the deck is hard to step away from.

Other things to note
*The private bathroom is a separate 'pod' approximately 2.5m from the living space, bridged by an outdoor undercover area. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. This is not unusual to us, as our family home in the Byron Hinterland - another popular airbnb favourite - is made up of several separate buildings, with indoor and covered outdoor areas flowing seamlessly, but we understand this sort of Asian pavilion style living is not always familiar to guests.
** Bird's Nest is part of a quiet, immaculately kept riverside community on the Tweed River. Neighbours are close, in the way of any good village — but the river, the gardens and the endless sunsets make it feel like a world of your own, and despite the closeness, the cabin always feels very private.
