Tucked into a peaceful pocket at the river end of Barwon Heads, Araluen Beach House is a spacious retreat ideal for families/groups of friends seeking a relaxing escape. Sleeping up to 8 guests, it offers easy indoor-outdoor living with a solar-heated pool, native garden, veggie patch, and a sheltered barbeque area.

In summer enjoy surfing, swimming, and golf. In winter, return from a cold beach dip to a crackling fireplace and unwind in the seasonal pop-up wood-burning hot tub under the stars.

The space
Araluen Beach House comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests, with a master bedroom featuring a king bed and private ensuite, and three additional bedrooms each with queen beds. The home is spacious and thoughtfully designed, offering two inviting lounge areas and a stunning Cheminees Philippe fireplace to keep things cosy in the cooler months.

Each bedroom includes air-conditioning and ceiling fans for year-round comfort. Outside, enjoy a solar-heated pool, wood-fired hot tub (April - End October), barbecue area, and basketball hoop, all nestled among native Australian trees and thriving permaculture gardens where you can pick fresh herbs for your meals.

It’s a space that invites you to slow down — whether you're watching for spotted pardalotes in the trees, floating in the pool, or enjoying a quiet morning coffee surrounded by birdsong. Araluen offers more than just a place to stay — it’s a chance to reconnect with nature, and with the land itself.

We have a strict no-party policy, as Araluen is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac and we’re committed to maintaining a peaceful environment for our neighbours.

Our hot-tub is only on site
April - End October.

This is a non-smoking property, both indoors and throughout the garden areas.

Please note, the master bedroom is located upstairs, so the space may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations.

We’re happy to welcome small dogs with prior approval—just get in touch before booking. A one-off pet fee of $150 applies.

We kindly ask guests to treat the garden and surrounding environment with care, and to be mindful of the local wildlife that call this area home.

As we’re surrounded by native bushland, we recommend keeping fly screens closed—especially in the warmer months—to help keep out mosquitoes, flies, and other curious insects.
