The space
Welcome to Vineside — a peaceful, private stay for guests who want to slow down, sleep well and experience the region with a little more local insight.
Set on a 2.2-acre property within easy walking distance of Witchcliffe, Vineside sits in a quiet edge-of-village setting with space, privacy and a relaxed country feel. The apartment is attached to our home but fully private, with its own entrance, parking, deck and fenced boundary. From your private outdoor space, you’ll look over native gardens towards the neighbouring vineyard and a small pocket of bushland.
Inside, you’ll find a king bed with flax linen bedding, a comfortable living area, fast Wi-Fi, a 65-inch Smart TV and a well-equipped kitchenette for easy breakfasts, grazing platters and simple meals. Natural finishes and thoughtful details give the space a warm, grounded feel without fuss.
The private deck is made for slow mornings and easy evenings, with a timber lounge and coffee table, a custom jarrah bar bench and a Mini Weber BBQ. As the day slows down, wander to the firepit overlooking the neighbouring vineyard, where kangaroos and sheep are often seen in the early morning and at dusk. Later, with very little surrounding light, the stars take over.
Vineside is ideal for couples, anniversary weekends, birthday getaways and first-time Margaret River visitors who want a quieter base while still being close to Redgate Beach, wineries, Boranup Forest, caves and the coast. Witchcliffe village is close by too, with local favourites like Dear Darnell’s, Vintners Wine Bar, Amato Vino, character-filled shops and other small local finds.
A big part of staying here is the local knowledge woven into your visit. Our Guest Guide brings together favourite swimming spots, walks, cellar doors and day plans, so you can experience the region with more confidence and less guesswork.
Vineside guests can also enquire about Karri & Cape Collective, our optional private touring experience through the quieter southern end of the Margaret River Region, from Witchcliffe to Augusta. Designed for guests who want a beautifully planned day without the driving, each journey is fully private — just for you and your group, with no other guests joining.
Karri & Cape can take you beyond the standard cellar-door trail into boutique producers, distilleries, seasonal tastings, coastal stops, farm-to-table lunches and lesser-known local places. Depending on availability, your day may also include private experiences such as barrel-room tastings, time with winemakers, or a visit to Australia’s first open-ocean winery. We can also weave in scenic routes that most visitors miss, including a local favourite gravel drive through the towering karri trees of Boranup Forest.
It is suitable for up to 4 guests, subject to availability, and not included in the accommodation price. Because our itineraries involve coordinating with small boutique producers, winemakers, and local farm-to-table restaurants, we kindly request at least one weeks' notice to secure these reservations for you. Guest access
You’ll have exclusive access to your own self-contained one-bedroom apartment, with an ensuite, private deck and separate entrance, so your stay feels private and easy from the moment you arrive.
Although the apartment sits under the same roof as our home, it feels like its own retreat, with private parking, a separate entry, a fenced boundary and a peaceful outlook over the garden towards the neighbouring vineyard.
Vineside is set on 2.2 acres on the edge of a quiet, friendly neighbourhood — just 12 minutes from Margaret River and 4 minutes from Witchcliffe village. It’s close to everything, but still gives you space, privacy and a relaxed country feel.

🌿 Private Deck & Outdoor Living
Your private deck is designed for slow, relaxed living. Settle into the timber lounge for morning coffee as birds move through the garden, or enjoy casual meals at the custom jarrah bar bench with stools, which connects to the kitchenette through the stacker window. A Mini Weber BBQ is ready for easy outdoor cooking.
🔥 Firepit with Vineyard Views
Follow the path through your back gate to the firepit overlooking the neighbouring vineyard. It’s a beautiful spot to unwind in the evening, and kangaroos and sheep are often seen nearby at dusk.
We provide a starter bundle of firewood, kindling and fire starters for your stay. Use of the firepit depends on season, weather and local fire conditions. Full firepit conditions are listed below.
🌳 Native Bushland Area
A short path leads into a quiet pocket of native bushland — perfect for a short leg stretch, a moment of stillness or simply watching the light move through the trees.
Please note that the vineyard itself is neighbouring private property and is not part of the guest space.
🛏 Sofa Bed Setup
The main bedroom has a king bed, and the sofa bed is located in the living area. It can be arranged in advance for additional guests or those who prefer separate sleeping spaces. Please note that the apartment’s bathroom is an ensuite accessed through the main bedroom, so all guests share this bathroom. Please let us know in advance if you’d like the sofa bed made up. A $30 linen and cleaning fee applies unless additional guests are already included in your booking.
🐾 Lily & Luna
Our two friendly dogs, Lily and Luna, live onsite in their own fenced area. They may say hello from their side of the boundary and may bark occasionally, but they won’t have access to your private apartment or deck area.
🧺 Laundry Service
A guest laundry is not available, but we do offer a wash, dry and fold service for $15 per load, using rainwater and natural Koala Eco products.
For same-day return, please leave laundry out before 10am and send us a quick message to let us know. Laundry received later may need to be returned the following day. Ironing is not included.

🛏 Sofa Bed Setup
The sofa bed must be requested in advance. A $30 linen and cleaning fee applies unless additional guests are already included in your booking.
👶 Children Welcome
Children are welcome at Vineside, but the apartment and outdoor areas are not baby- or child-proofed, and no infant or child equipment is provided. This includes cots, high chairs, toys and safety gates. Please supervise children at all times, particularly around the deck, firepit, garden areas and property gates.
🚪 Fully Fenced & Gated
The property is fully fenced and gated. Please keep the gates closed and latched at all times to help keep Lily and Luna safely within the property.
💧 Rainwater & Eco-Friendly Systems
Vineside runs on rainwater and an eco-friendly ATU wastewater system. We use natural products throughout the space and appreciate guests' help in caring for the property and surrounding environment.
🔥 Firepit Use
Fires are permitted between 5pm and 11pm when conditions allow, and must be fully extinguished by 11pm. Fires are not permitted during periods of high fire danger, total fire bans or unsuitable weather conditions.
The firepit is not available from November to March.
Additional firewood bundles are available for $15, or firewood can be purchased locally.
