Surrounded by donkeys, horses, cows, and peacocks, Solace is a place to pause and reconnect. Guests also enjoy access to Satya, our fire pit and meditation deck, plus the Dromenon labyrinth — a ceremonial path where each step invites grounding and stillness.

Much of the furniture and décor has been thoughtfully repurposed or upcycled — from rustic timber tables to vintage chairs — creating a space that feels warm, soulful, and sustainable.

Our friendly horses, donkeys, cows, chickens, and peacocks roam freely around the property. Guests are welcome to spend time with them — simply treat them with kindness and respect. Their presence is often one of the most memorable parts of a stay at Shanlyn.

Guest access
Guests have full private use of their booked accommodation, Solace Dome including the deck, bathroom, and kitchen facilities, the deck and seating below the dome and the fenced area.

The Satya deck and outside kitchen facilities, firepit, and labyrinth are shared spaces open to all guests for meditation, reflection, or simply enjoying nature.

The farm is shared with free-roaming animals – horses, donkeys, cows, chickens, and peacocks – who may wander by. Guests are welcome to enjoy their company respectfully.

Guests are welcome to walk around designated farm areas, but for safety please avoid entering sheds and stables unless host is either present or given specific permission.

Please do not swim in the dams.

Other things to note
Shanlyn is fully off-grid, powered by solar and rainwater. Please conserve power and water where possible.

Our animals roam freely and are part of the farm’s charm — guests are welcome to enjoy their company with kindness and respect.

Shoes off indoors, no smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, and adults-only stays apply.

Hi, I’m Lynne Shanlyn is the dream my late husband Shane and I created, now a sanctuary of animals, nature, and gentle spaces to rest. Horses graze in the paddocks, donkeys wander with curiosity, chickens scratch at the earth, and peacocks add their splash of colour. I love welcoming guests to slow down, breathe, and feel at home in the peace of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
