Thoughtfully renovated and stylishly designed, this one bedroom retreat blends relaxed coastal living with playful interiors, beautiful outdoor spaces and a private hot tub under the stars. Slow mornings, beach walks, long lunches and evenings soaking beneath the stars await at beautiful Hyams Beach. Designed for couples seeking something a little more special, with privacy, comfort and a stay that feels worlds away.
The space
The Space:
Our retreat has been thoughtfully designed as an intimate couples escape for two.
Bedroom:
One king bedroom designed for slow mornings and lazy sleep ins, complete with quality linen.
Kitchen and Living:
An open plan living and kitchen space designed for long breakfasts, cooking at home, board games, movie nights and relaxing after a day at the beach. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay.
The living space includes a smart TV where you can sign into your own streaming accounts, along with WiFi throughout the retreat.
Please note there is no indoor dining table as the space does not allow for one, however there is seating at the kitchen bench, outdoor breakfast bar stools and an outdoor dining area. We personally spend most evenings eating outside in the garden.
Bathroom:
Beautifully renovated bathroom spaces designed with comfort and relaxation in mind.
Outdoor Spaces:
Multiple outdoor areas allow you to follow the sun throughout the day, whether that means morning coffee, afternoon drinks, outdoor dining or simply finding a quiet spot to unwind.
Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the one bedroom retreat and outdoor spaces during their stay. You will have the property entirely to yourselves.
Other things to note
Strictly no children, additional guests or visitors are permitted on the property at any time.
FIREWOOD:
Due to the remote location of the property, along with the logistics and storage involved, we're unfortunately unable to supply firewood for the outdoor fire pit.
When we're staying ourselves, we often collect fallen, dry branches from around the property for our own fires. If you'd like a longer-lasting fire during your stay, we recommend bringing your own seasoned firewood.
There are very few places to purchase firewood once you're in the area, and during busy holiday periods local petrol stations can sell out quickly. If enjoying the fire pit is part of your plans, we recommend picking up your firewood before you arrive.
If you do collect your own wood, please make sure it is dry and dead. Green timber contains moisture and will produce a lot of smoke, making it difficult to keep a fire going and much less enjoyable.
*HOT TUB MAINTENANCE:
If your stay falls between the 20th and 26th of the month, please be aware that our monthly hot tub service may take place during your visit.
As we're located in a remote area, the service technician only travels to this area once each month. We don't have any control over the exact day or time of the visit, as we're simply included on their monthly service route.
During the service, the hot tub will be drained, cleaned, refilled and rebalanced. Once refilled, it can take up to 24 hours to return to the ideal temperature, so it may not be available for use immediately after servicing.
If you're booking a stay during this period, please ensure you're comfortable with the possibility of the technician attending and the hot tub being unavailable for part of your stay. We appreciate your understanding, as this regular maintenance is essential to keeping the water clean, safe and enjoyable for all guests.
If this maintenance period doesn't suit your plans, we recommend selecting dates outside the 20th to 26th of the month.
NOISE:
This is a quiet residential area where neighbours value peace and privacy and naturally look out for one another's properties. Please keep noise to a minimum, particularly outdoors and in the evenings.
This retreat is not suitable for parties, loud music or excessive noise. Failure to respect these rules may result in neighbours contacting us, local authorities, or immediate cancellation of your stay.
