Welcome to Round Tin Roof, a one-of-a-kind cosy mud-brick hideaway. Nestled beside our home, yet detached for privacy. Perfectly located in the beautiful Ocean Beach neighbourhood, just moments from the beach, scenic hiking trails and some of Denmark’s most loved attractions. Unwind in a luxurious Super King bed, enjoy Netflix and Starlink Wi-Fi. EV charging (optional amenity) at 50¢ per kWh. Adults only, no children or pets. Shoes off please.
The space
Open plan living and sleeping space designed for comfort, quality and calm. Unwind beside the indoor fireplace in winter or enjoy slower summer days on your private patio with the BBQ, while the ceiling fans help keep things comfortable indoors. Beyond the patio, your private outdoor space includes an outdoor bath beneath the southern stars. On quiet evenings you can hear the waves of Ocean Beach gently crashing in the distance. Relax in the peaceful seating area with a drink as the day winds down or gather seasonal herbs from the small garden to enjoy in the well equipped kitchen. Rinse the beach away in the open-air shower at the entrance. Thoughtful comforts for a restful escape.
Round Tin Roof is located in the beautiful and sought after Ocean Beach neighbourhood, known for its relaxed coastal lifestyle and close proximity to some of Denmark’s favourite beaches. As part of a family community, days may bring the gentle sounds of normal family life, along with the calls of local birdlife, including the cheerful song of kookaburras and other native birds, evenings settle into a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. This is a place to slow down, reconnect and enjoy the surroundings, it’s not for parties or loud outdoor music.
A highlight of our location is being just a short walk or drive from Prawn Rock Channel, Ocean Beach and Lights Beach. During holiday periods, you may notice more daytime activity as visitors head towards the coast, but evenings return to the calm and peaceful atmosphere Denmark is loved for.
Our two little dachshunds, Hazel and Eclipse are part of our family. You may occasionally hear or see them, but your space remains completely your own.
Round Tin Roof is perfectly positioned between forest and sea:
• Right next to the Bibbulmun Track (Mount Hallowell section)
• Right next to the Munda Biddi Bike Trail
• 2.7 km to Ocean Beach, Denmark’s main beach (25-minute walk along paddocks and inlet or 4-minute drive)
• 5.3 km to Lights Beach (6-minute drive)
• 5.4 km to William Bay National Park (6-minute drive)
• 6.8 km to Denmark town centre (8-minute drive)
• 18 km to Elephant Rocks, Elephant Cove & Greens Pool (15-minute drive)
Due to the layout and access, Round Tin Roof is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users or guests with mobility limitations.
This is private, self-contained self-catering accommodation. Any complimentary treats or drinks are simply a little extra warm welcome from us and may vary from stay to stay.
Guest access
Enjoy the ease of self check-in allowing you to settle in and slow down from the moment you arrive. Convenient parking space is available directly in front of the guesthouse (not undercover), making arrival and unloading simple. The storage area remains locked and is not available for guest use.
EV CHARGING
As not every guest has an electric vehicle, we’ve chosen to keep EV charging as a separate, optional amenity rather than include the cost in every stay. Level 2 EV charging is available on request, with our authorisation, at **50¢ per kWh**. A payment request will be sent through Airbnb after each charging session based on the amount of electricity used. ~Please note that, on rare occasions, the charger may be temporarily unavailable due to technical or connectivity issues beyond our control. We will do our best to resolve any issue as quickly as possible~
Other things to note
FIREPLACE & HEATER
The fireplace must not be used during the warmer months, restricted burning periods or fire bans. *One bucket of firewood is provided per stay during the cooler months (subject to availability). Additional firewood is not available. An oil-filled portable heater is also provided during the colder months for added comfort and is removed during the warmer months.
WILDLIFE & INSECTS
Round Tin Roof is professionally maintained with regular pest control; however, being located in a natural bush setting, occasional encounters with wildlife and insects are part of country living.

One-night stay enquiries are welcome, subject to availability & dates. Please note that a higher nightly rate applies to one night bookings to help cover turnover costs. The standard cleaning/airbnb fees still applies.
