A whimsically designed treetop escape with elevated water views for the wild at heart. Only a 10-minute drive from Hobart, Del Sol Treehouse spans two separate levels: a serene, sunlit canopy with a dreamy queen bedroom, daybed and a full kitchen, and a cosy, secluded studio with a bathtub for soaking and a huge king bed. Enjoy exclusive use of the entire home, which features curated and quirky decor, and easy access to local dining, shops, bushwalks, and top attractions - or don't leave at all.
The space
Del Sol Treehouse is the imagined home of a naturalist collector from a bygone era. This handcrafted pole house is a design-led sanctuary where botanical curios and vintage treasures are carefully curated, and time slows amongst the treetops. You're invited not just to stay, but to linger.
Elevated high on timber poles and wrapped in dappled sunlight, Del Sol embodies Tasmanian design: sustainable timber, textural linen, bespoke vintage finds and a truly unique Tasmanian experience.
Located just 10 minutes from Hobart’s heart, this elevated hideaway offers the best of both worlds: peaceful seclusion in nature with easy access to local dining, shops, bushwalks and the Derwent Ferry with connections to the MONA ferry. It’s a sanctuary for those who crave stillness, a gentle nudge to rest, reconnect and restore.
The Canopy (Upper Level)
Perched among the treetops, The Canopy is a sun-drenched sanctuary with sweeping water views. Thoughtfully designed for slow living, this level features a plush queen bed dressed in luxe linen, a full kitchen for shared meals that linger long into the night and a spacious living area and daybed for reading, resting, or simply watching the afternoon light play on the water.
Step outside to the wraparound balcony where a hammock sways between timber trunks, inviting you to sink in with a book from the shelves. Or settle in at the outdoor high bar with a steaming mug of hot chocolate, the hills glowing gold as dusk rolls in across the bay.
Seahorse Studio (Lower Level)
Tucked beneath, the Seahorse Studio is a peaceful, private cocoon cuddled by the garden. With a generous king bed and a vintage bathtub made for long, unhurried soaks, this space is designed for quiet reverie. A simple breakfast bar provides the essentials for easy mornings, whether you're heading out early to explore or savouring a slow start.
Both levels offer private entry and are connected via outdoor spiral stairs, giving guests the freedom to share time together while still enjoying their own space.
Wake to the sun peeking over the mountain, steaming coffee in hand, as yachts drift with the tide below and seagulls soar. During the day, head out to MONA, Salamanca Markets, Mt Wellington/Kunyani or get lost in the city. As night falls and the lights of Hobart twinkle in the distance, you’ll find yourself exactly where you’re meant to be, whether you’ve been out exploring all that Hobart has to offer or you never left at all.
To keep you comfy during the wild Tasmanian winters, each level includes a reverse-cycle air conditioner and hot water bottles. The Canopy also has an oil heater in the bedroom. Extra blankets are provided for the colder months.
Please note: To align with our ethos of slow living, there is no television or microwave. The Seahorse Studio bathroom contains a combined bathtub/shower with a handheld showerhead only.
