Comfy bed for better sleep

The black-out blinds and extra bedding are loved by guests.
This is an immersive farm stay and working vineyard.

Set among the vines, each cabin is private, with a bedroom, large bathroom and deep vintage bath. No TV.

The shared cellar door kitchen and lounge is a place for cooking, gathering and experiencing life on the vineyard.

Days move gently between the hillside and vineyard sunsets.

Mabel (who we blame for most things) is often nearby.

On weekends, the cellar door is open.

A little rugged, slightly offbeat, and better for it.

🍷 The Cellar Door

A short walk from the cabins is the cellar door, which includes a communal kitchen, lounge with wood heater, BBQ and gardens overlooking the vineyard.

Guests often spend time here between vineyard walks and sunset views, whether cooking a meal, reading by the fire, enjoying a glass of wine or simply slowing down for a while.

The cellar door and gardens are shared with guests from one other cabin and are separate from the private accommodation.

WiFi is available in the cellar door only (not in-cabin).

Seasonal extras such as fresh eggs and garden produce may be available.

On weekends, the cellar door opens for wine tastings, bringing a little more activity and vineyard life to the property.

What guests seem to love is having a completely private cabin to retreat to, while still being connected to the life of the vineyard through the cellar door.

📍 The Area (Anakie & Surrounds)

Set in the Moorabool Valley near Anakie, the property is surrounded by vineyards, natural landscapes and open countryside.

Native wildlife is part of daily life here, from kangaroos grazing at dusk to abundant birdlife across the valley.

Nearby you’ll find walking tracks, hiking trails, national parks, local farm gates and produce stores.

Geelong and the Surf Coast are within reach for day trips.

🍷 Wine Tastings

The cellar door is open on weekends.

Guests are welcome to stop in for a glass of wine or tasting during opening hours.

💍 Occasions

The setting also lends itself to small weddings, elopements and intimate celebrations by arrangement.

🧭 Other Things to Note

This is a working vineyard and farm stay.

Your cabin is private, while the cellar door, kitchen, lounge and gardens are shared with guests from one other cabin.

The cellar door is located separately from the cabins, allowing guests to enjoy both privacy and the wider vineyard experience.

Guest access
The property is shared by workers, fellow guests, kangaroos and Mabel the star of the story. Feel free to explore, there are great spots for picnics, sunsets, star gazing and for watching the wedge tail eagles soar above.

Other things to note
Although we adore children, the cabins are strictly for adults only.

We do not accommodate dogs or cats.

Anakie is a small rural town supported by a general store that is open 7 days a week. The store provides basic grocery items. The closest supermarkets are 25 minutes away.

Please note, access to the cabin is via approximately six stairs so it may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations.

At times during the day, the area can be abuzz with farming vehicles and classic cars. Other vehicles may be active during the day however quieten at night.

Just a heads-up, we’ve got a security camera at the entrance and another in the cellar door area.

For those on networks other than Telstra, reception can be inconsistent.

We are gently restoring the grounds and vines after not being touched for several years. Please anticipate a perfectly imperfect vineyard.

P.S. - We blame Mabel, our much loved four-legged family member.
